Sub-assigning IP blocks to an organization (part 1)

The [IP/ASN Resources] / [Manage] option in the context menu allows you to access basic information for the IP address blocks you manage for your organization.

In this section you can begin the process of sub-assigning IP address blocks.

• Along with the details of the IP address block you are viewing, you will find a menu containing different options. Click [Sub-assign] to begin the process of sub-assigning the selected IP block in whole or in part. 

• Search for organization: Search tool used to sub-assign the selected IP address block to an existing organization. The system allows searching by an organization's name or identifier.
• Sub-assign to a new organization: Form for creating a new organization in the MiLACNIC system for the purpose of sub-assigning the IP address block to this new entity.

1) Search for organization

To sub-assign an IP address block to an existing organization in the MiLACNIC system, simply search for the full or partial name of the organization or its ID.

Then, click the [Search] button.

The system will display a list of organizations to which you may sub-assign your selected IP address block. 
By selecting the green arrow  next to the organization of your choice, you will begin the corresponding sub-assignment process.

2) Sub-assign to a new organization

If you wish to create a new organization to which you will assign the IP block, you must complete the information required on the form to the right of the screen on which you are working.

To create a new organization, the following information is required:

• Name
• Country calling code
• Telephone number
• Extension number
• Address
• Further details (about the address)
• Door number (address)
• Post code
• City
• Province
• Country

Once you enter the data required for creating the new organization, click [Save] to continue with the process of sub-assigning the IP block.
